Privacy policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
PixCheckr ("we", "us") helps website owners find images that may carry copyright risk. This policy explains what we collect and why, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password, managed by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Scan data: the website address you submit, and the public pages and images we read from it, including image addresses, file details, embedded credits and our risk findings.
- Your decisions: the notes and decisions you record against images.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount and your email; we never see or store your card details.
- Abuse prevention: a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, used to limit free scans.
How we use it
To run scans, show and store your reports, process payments, prevent abuse and contact you about your account. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Service providers
Supabase (database and accounts, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Google Cloud Vision (image web matching — images from scanned pages are sent to Google to find matching copies online).
Keeping and deleting data
Free scan results are kept for 90 days. Full reports are kept while your account is open so you keep your evidence record. Email hello@pixcheckr.app to access, correct or delete your information, or to close your account.
